The show has catchy music, fun and amusement as well as brilliant dancing. This is life-enhancing stuff. Billy is born in a northern town where men do masculine things such as work in the mines. Men don’t dance. But Billy is a different he doesn’t want to fight, but is attracted by the visual delight of ballet. With determination he works at getting into the Royal Ballet School.
Billy Elliot contains some earthy language that some parents may not want to expose their young children to.
