Avenue Q is the down and out street in New York where monsters and humans alike reside. The story is based around the hilarious obstacles encountered by a young man trying to find his purpose in life. From one-night stands to unemployment, every problem has a song that has the audience in tears. From a monster with an unhealthy porn addiction to the 'Bad Idea Bears,' the sets, acting and delivery cannot be faulted. Avenue Q is a fantastic night out. But it is not for the faint-hearted, the easily offended or anyone with a fear of fur!On 28 March 2009, Avenue Q will close at the Noel Coward Theatre. Performances will resume on 1 June at Shaftesbury Avenue's Gielgud Theatre."I loved every minute of it" The Sunday TimesPopular SongsIt Sucks To Be MeThe Internet Is For PornSchadenfreudeYou Can Be As Loud As The Hell You Want (When You're Makin' Love)Everyone's a Little Bit Racist

Driving Miss Daisy at The Wyndham's Theatre, LondonJames Earl Jones Hits the RoadHollywood legend James Earl Jones returns to the West End in this acclaimed Broadway revival of Driving Miss Daisy. Jones plays Hoke Colburn, a black chauffeur who is hired to drive an elderly Jewish woman, Miss Daisy, after she suffers yet another automobile mishap. Miss Daisy is proud of her independence and has plenty of misgivings about being driven by someone else, not least an African American man. Gradually, however, she starts to accept Hoke's help and their uneasy relationship becomes a lasting friendship. Vanessa Redgrave stars as Miss Daisy and Boyd Gaines (Gypsy, Pygmalion and Journey's End) plays her well-meaning son, Boolie. The Times (4 stars)'Double act that is a winning match for legendary tale'Daily Express (4 stars)'Redgrave and Jones complement each other perfectly'The Guardian (4 stars)'A superb piece of acting'The Independent on Sunday'Overwhelmingly touching'

Ida Barr is a music hall singer who has embraced hip hop and rap, reflecting the culturally diverse landscape of the London's East End, where she has been living in retirement for several decades. She lives in Thabo Mbeki Court, shops at Lidl, has a warden called Mrs. Gupta, and a friend called Maude Edwardes (an elderly male impersonator with a shady past). She's an inner city pensioner in multi-cultural post-new Labour Britain; her glory days are behind her but her creativity is still flowering.

The Madness of George III at the Apollo TheatreA Brilliant Biographical DramaAlan Bennett's The Madness of George III was first staged in November 1991 at the National Theatre where it was directed by Nicholas Hytner. It featured Nigel Hawthorne as 'King George III' and went on to tour the UK and USA after a critically acclaimed London run. A film adaptation, The Madness of King George, was released in 1994 with Hawthorne reprising his regal role alongside Helen Mirren and Rupert Everett. Set around the time of the Regency Crisis of 1788, The Madness of George III tells the story of the monarch's swift descent into a mental illness that baffled his doctors and initiated a struggle for power amongst the leading politicians and his scheming son, the Prince of Wales. The Apollo Theatre cast includes David Haig, Clive Francis, Beatie Edney and Madhav Sharma.

Cosi Fan Tutte at the Royal Opera HouseA Timeless Tale of Faith and VirtueCosi Fan Tutte (Women Are Like That) tells the humorous tale of two military officers, Ferrando and Guglielmo, who enter a wager with a wealthy nobleman, Don Alfonso, that their fiances will stay eternally faithful. The bet is accepted and the officers pretend to have been called away to war. As their women despair of being left alone, two strange men appear and attempt to win them over. At first the women refuse their advances, but flirtation and human nature prove powerful urges to resist. Mozart's great opera was first performed in 1790.
